Last time Yll\u00e4ksen Rasti was the organizer of the Finnish Mountain Orientation was almost ten years ago. Since then the competition organization has undergone a natural renewal, so now we are facing something new in many ways. These times for the realization of the event are also new to all of us. We carry out the event in a Covid-19-safe manner in accordance with current instructions and recommendations. The course stter is Ulf Merihein\u00e4, an orienteering guru with long experience. Orienteering is one of his passions, and it is visible in the terrain at every control. The courses have been laid out on the most accurate mountain orienteering map ever, made with fresh LIDAR data. They take you to the magnificent landscapes at the mountain peaks Pyh\u00e4, Kukastunturi and \u00c4k\u00e4skero, up to the open fell. Conquering the mountains through challenging and beautiful control points creates a wonderful experience that you cannot miss. The competition centre at Peurakaltio gives a glimpse of the former Lumberjack era, which we can enjoy with all our senses. The stable caf\u00e9 at Peurakaltio and the lumberjack’s cottage offer accommodation and caf\u00e9 services for orienteers. In \u00c4k\u00e4slompolo you will find more of our partners who have prepared packages with good offers for accommodation and meals. Lapland Hotels can arrange both accommodation and meals, and you can go to the Rouhe restaurant for a good meal. Harjun M\u00f6kit offers high quality accommodation in a good location.
